Each of my illustrations hides animals, humans, or objects. This squirrel features 64 concealed creatures and one Chaz face. I often incorporate my face into my drawings. I use Rotring Rapidograph pens, as fine as .13mm, on 100-pound acid-free bristol board with a plate finish. Starting with a pencil sketch, I add details, then build more animals into the design, like solving a puzzle. The final step is inking it. These drawings aim to provide a respite from the fast-paced world, encouraging thoughts about nature and its amazing inhabitants.
