The thread gauge ring should screw onto the thread of the work piece by hand, without excessive force, along its entire length. If this is not possible, the thread does not meet the required standards (i.e., it is defective). A reference temperature of 20°C applies to both work pieces and gauges. Upon request, VÖLKEL can provide a factory calibration certificate (price available upon inquiry). The calibration is performed in an independent metrology laboratory according to the specified standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) using IAC thread scanners.
