The Supco EM60 dual-input digital differential thermometer with probes is for use in applications requiring a broad range of temperature measurements including superheat measurements, food service applications, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system maintenance. When using a K-type thermocouple, it measures temperature from -200 to 1300 degrees C (-328 to 2372 degrees F). When using a J-type thermocouple, it measures temperature from -200 to 1200 degrees C (-328 to 2192 degrees F). It has a best accuracy of + or - 0.1% of reading + 0.7 degree C (1.4 degrees F). The thermometer accepts K-type thermocouple probes, which have a broader temperature measurement range than a thermistor sensor but provide lower accuracy, or J-type probes, which provide higher accuracy but have a narrower temperature measurement range than a K-type probe. This dual-channel thermometer has two inputs for connecting temperature probes (two probes are included), allowing the operator to measure the temperature of two samples at one time. The LCD screen can display the current temperature measurement for either input channel as well as the difference between the two channels. It can also display the highest or lowest temperature reading for a session. The operator can choose to display readings in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius. The thermometer's internal memory can record up to five sets of minimum, maximum, and differential temperature data for future recall. The hold function keeps a measurement on the display so it can be recorded. The operator can set high and low temperature alarms to sound when measurements exceed or drop below the preset limits. The thermometer operates on three AAA batteries (included), and the thermometer will automatically turn off after 20 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life.
